This card was
commissioned by a very good friend whose husband was retiring
early. She wanted it to be a reminder that this was not the
end, but the beginning of the next exciting chapter of his
life. While she wrote a very personal message for the inside
of the card, I created this image that has a bit of a message
itself. They are are avid world travelers, having visited such
exotic locales as Bali and Thailand, which inpired the image.
They have since taken up permanent residence in Costa Rica.
His early retirement and their move to Costa Rica must have
been a bit like jumping off a cliff...
Commissioned
by a group of Nisga'a supporters
and activists, this card was created to recognize Chief Joseph Gosnell's work on behalf of the Nisga'a people on the eve of
his retirement. The image in the background is an archival
photo of the first Nisga'a Land Treaty Council. The text in
the foreground is an exerpt of his very eloquent and powerful
speach to the BC Legislature in 1998.
The images for this card were respectfully adapted from
various Nisga'a publications. |
